Infinite Stories: Chasing Geological Wonders Across India
πΊ️ 28 States, Infinite Stories: Chasing Geological Wonders Across India π
Hey rockstars!
Welcome to The Wandering Hammer, where we’re not just smashing rocks we’re smashing the myth that geology is boring.
India isn’t just about chai, Bollywood, and spicy street food — it's also home to some of the most mind-blowing geological wonders on the planet. From billion-year-old rocks to volcanic marvels and fossil parks that could make Jurassic Park jealous, every state holds a story buried beneath its surface.
So here's the plan:
I'm taking my curiosity, my trusty rock hammer, and a little bit of reckless geo-love, and I'm setting out to explore all 28 Indian states, one by one uncovering the hidden geology most people walk right past.
π§ What to Expect:
-
Insanely old rocks that are older than your great-great-great-granddad’s imagination
-
Mysterious landforms shaped by time, wind, water and a few tectonic tantrums
-
Fossils, volcanoes, caves, craters, and more all packed into a country the size of a continent
-
Oh, and occasional puns, bad geology jokes, and mild flirting with rocks (no shame)
π₯ Why This Series?
Because India’s geology isn’t just textbook stuff — it’s alive, vibrant, and dramatic.
It’s a time machine. A treasure hunt. A giant rock-solid love letter from Earth.
I’ll be starting with Odisha (because Kanakund Canyon already stole my heart π), and then we’re off from the salt plains of Gujarat to the rolling hills of Meghalaya, from the lava plateaus of Maharashtra to the coral wonders of Lakshadweep.
Each blog will dig into:
-
What’s unique about that state’s geology
-
Cool formations or rock stories
-
Fun facts, myths, and legends
-
Maps, visuals, and maybe a comic or two π
